The Dometic SeaStar i7812 electronic engine control system brings together advanced fly-by-wire electronics and more than 50 years of mechanical engine control expertise into a single, highly capable package. Designed for single station, dual engine boat installations, this kit is engineered to be compatible with nearly any boat and engine combination, whether inboard, I/O, or outboard. The control heads are ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and feature adjustable drag and detent adjustment pins for a personalized feel. System connectivity is achieved via CANbus harness, supporting an automotive high-speed CAN network at 250 kbps. The i7812 supports up to three stations, allowing for add-a-station expansion using the i7812A kit.

The system is built to withstand demanding marine environments. It is rated IPX7 for water ingress protection, tested to 300 hours of salt spray corrosion resistance, and operates across a wide temperature range from -18°C to +77°C. Ignition protection meets SAE J-1171, and electromagnetic compatibility meets EN 60945 requirements. The actuators are capable of a maximum load of 135 lbs with a maximum cable travel of 3.14 inches. RPM input is compatible with NMEA 2000 or analog pulse sources, and the system runs on 12 VDC.
