An earth-friendly shrink wrap that delivers the same durability and finish as conventional shrink wrap. EnviroShrink landfill-biodegradable shrink wrap was independently tested by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory using ASTM D5511 to evaluate its anaerobic biodegradation under controlled laboratory conditions. Results showed 46% biodegradation in 60 days. The biodegradation process works by incorporating an additive into the plastic during manufacturing. This additive attracts naturally occurring bacteria in anaerobic environments, such as landfills and soil. Once exposed to these conditions, bacteria begin breaking down and consuming the plastic. After digestion, no microplastics remain—only biomass is left as a byproduct. Once the film is trashed and reaches a landfill, the degradation process begins naturally.
