This biodegradable shrink wrap roll measures 40 feet wide by 149 feet long with a thickness of 7 mil, constructed from 100% virgin resin. It covers 5,960 square feet of material and is designed to provide UV protection for 12 months. The product is engineered as an environmentally responsible solution that delivers the same durability and professional finish as conventional shrink wrap, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including boat shrink wrapping, industrial encapsulation, scaffolding protection, and general material handling.
EnviroShrink landfill-biodegradable shrink wrap was independently tested by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory using the ASTM D5511 standard to evaluate anaerobic biodegradation under controlled laboratory conditions. Test results demonstrated 46% biodegradation within 60 days. Once the material is discarded and reaches a landfill, naturally occurring bacteria in the anaerobic environment begin breaking down the plastic. An additive incorporated during manufacturing attracts these bacteria, which then consume and digest the plastic. After bacterial digestion, no microplastics remain—only biomass is left as a byproduct.
