The FATSAC Fat Seat Ballast Bag is one of the original and most iconic ballast bags designed specifically for inboard direct drive boats with a removable rear seat. Its patented U-shaped design allows it to replace the rear seat entirely or rest on top of it, providing an enormous amount of stern weight to shape a powerful, consistent wake for wakeboarding and wakesurfing.

The Fat Seat is built tough — it is strong enough to sit on, step on, and use just like a regular back seat. Two arms extend forward on either side of the engine compartment, allowing the sac to add even more weight to the stern while accommodating a direct drive engine layout. Unlike smaller, more versatile rear seat sacs, the Fat Seat is purpose-built for this single location and delivers up to 1,525 lbs (692 kg) of ballast. To maintain proper boat handling and achieve the best wake shape, it is recommended to also add ballast to the front of the boat when using the Fat Seat.

The sac features six port holes for multiple plumbing configurations and is fully compatible with the FATSAC Tsunami Pump — no conversion parts needed. Custom color upgrades (Blue, Red, White, or Camo) are available for an additional fee. This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning regarding exposure to Diisononyl Phthalate (DINP).
