Garmin AIRMAR® B175HW

The AIRMAR B175HW flush-mount through-hull transducer brings 1 kW of sonar power to fiberglass and wood hulls without the complexity of a fairing block. Its unique internal tilted element design compensates for hull deadrise angles across the full spectrum, eliminating the need for additional mounting hardware while keeping the bronze housing protruding less than 1/4-inch below the hull surface. This low-profile installation means the transducer can safely rest on trailer rollers or bunks without risk of damage during trailering.

Operating across a CHIRP 150–250 kHz frequency range in the High Wide (HW) CHIRP band, the B175HW delivers outstanding target separation and bottom definition. With a 25° beamwidth and a maximum depth capability of 500 feet, it is well suited for a variety of fishing and navigation applications in coastal and offshore environments. The transducer measures both depth and water temperature, providing essential data for fishfinders and chartplotters.

Installation is straightforward with the included 30-foot, 8-pin cable and comprehensive installation instructions. The supported deadrise and tilt angle combinations ensure that the correct tilt variant can be selected to achieve an optimal perpendicular sonar beam regardless of hull geometry. Three tilt variants — 0°, 12°, and 20° — cover deadrise angles from flat-bottomed hulls up to 24°.
