Safety Seacock Converters

Safety Seacock Converters allow instant emergency bilge pumping, plus winterization and cooling system flushing.

A simple quarter turn of the quick release plug can add safety and flexibility to any water system.  Just add a Safety Seacock Converter to the top of any seacock for emergency bilge pumping, winterization and cooling system flushing. Screws into the top of any seacock with an NPT (tapered thread) fitting. Hose barb measurements are given as Inside Diameter (ID). Cast bronze.

Emergency Use

While the connected engine is running, simply close the seacock and remove the quick release plug. Excess bilge water will be pumped overboard by the engine raw water pump.

Winterization

Close the seacock, remove the quick release plug and insert the service adaptor (included). Anti-freeze can then be pumped into the cooling system.

System Flushing

Close the seacock and insert the service adaptor. Dockside water can then be used to flush the cooling system with the engine running at idle speed.
