Harken 102mm Fixed Mastbase Halyard Lead
The Harken 102mm Fixed Mastbase Halyard Lead is engineered for serious big boat sailing applications where reliable halyard management at the mastbase is critical. Its low-profile design keeps weight to a minimum while allowing multiple blocks to be clustered together in a small area at the base of the mast, enabling clean and efficient line routing even on complex rigs.
Flared cheeks are a key design feature, preventing chafe on halyards and extending the life of both the block and the line running through it. The high-load bearing system uses a PTFE composite bushing combined with sideload balls, delivering smooth and consistent performance under high tension. The sheave itself is hardcoat-anodized aluminum, a treatment that increases surface hardness and adds additional strength for long-term durability in demanding marine environments.
With a maximum working load of 6,000 kg (13,227 lb) and a breaking load of 12,000 kg (26,455 lb), this block is built to handle the forces generated on offshore racers and performance cruisers alike. It accommodates lines up to 16 mm (5/8 in) in diameter and is mounted with three M16 SHCS fasteners for a secure, fixed installation. The 102 mm (4 in) sheave diameter ensures efficient load transfer with minimal friction.
