Harken 3T V Sheave
The Harken 3T V Sheave is engineered for high-load sailing applications where efficiency and reliability are essential. Constructed with titanium, this sheave incorporates the same angled titanium roller bearing set found in Harken's renowned V blocks, delivering smooth and efficient line handling under the most demanding conditions. Its robust design supports a maximum working load of 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) and a breaking load of 6,000 kg (13,200 lb), making it suitable for offshore racing and performance cruising alike.
The 3T V Sheave is remarkably versatile. It excels when used to run lines underdeck, in mainsheet systems, spinnaker sheet systems, and drop line configurations. It is equally well-suited for building clean backstay systems designed to steady today's slender modern masts and precisely adjust mast bend, giving sailors greater control over sail shape and boat performance.
Installation and maintenance are straightforward. The snap-fit Delrin® side covers can be removed without any tools, allowing quick access to the bearing assembly for inspection and servicing. Delrin® is a registered trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company or its affiliates.
With a 56 mm (2 3/16 in) sheave diameter, a width of 19 mm (3/4 in), a maximum line diameter of 11 mm (7/16 in), and a center pin diameter of 22.67 mm (0.893 in), the 3T V Sheave is precisely dimensioned for integration into a wide range of deck hardware and below-deck systems. Its compact weight of just 82 g (2.89 oz) ensures minimal added mass to the rig.
