Stand-up blocks are an addition to HARKEN's Element line, designed for applications where you do not want the block to hit the deck. These blocks are ideal for sheeting and halyard systems, running backstays, controls, and other rigging configurations requiring elevated mounting.
Element blocks introduce sideplates that combine forged aluminum and compound curves for exceptional strength. The design is simultaneously contemporary and very robust, delivering a modern aesthetic paired with proven durability. Element's engineering approach pairs the minimum amount of metal required to protect the sheave with a proven journal bearing system. Size for size, Element blocks are priced significantly lower than comparable blocks from previous HARKEN product lines.
Sideplates are hardcoat-anodized to resist corrosion and maintain appearance in harsh marine environments. The tough composite bearing sheave resists corrosion, ensuring a long service life with minimal maintenance. The 60mm sheave accommodates lines up to 14mm diameter and is rated for a maximum working load of 1100kg (2425 lb) and a breaking load of 2200kg (4850 lb).
