Harken 14mm 4 Hole Bolt-Down Fairlead
The Harken Bolt-Down Fairlead is a lightweight, durable rigging hardware component engineered for shallow-angle line deflection on cruising and racing sailboats. Constructed from 6061-T6 hard lube-anodized aluminum, this fairlead delivers exceptional corrosion resistance and weight savings compared to traditional materials. The 4-hole configuration with 14 mm spacing provides versatile mounting options on deck structures.
The design features smooth surfaces and radiused center holes that minimize line wear during use. The fairlead accommodates line diameters up to 1/2 inch (12 mm) and features a robust maximum working load of 3,968 lb (1,800 kg), with a breaking load of 7,936 lb (3,600 kg). Mounting is straightforward, utilizing 5/16 inch (8 mm) fasteners with a 2.26 inch (57.5 mm) hole spacing, requiring A4 (316) or A2 (18-8) stainless steel fasteners for optimal corrosion resistance. The fairlead is part of Harken's versatile fairlead system, which includes single, double, triple, and multi-hole configurations to meet various marine applications. Regular maintenance involves flushing with fresh water to ensure longevity.
