The Harken 57mm Carbo Air Block with Swivel is a lightweight, high-strength single block built for demanding sail-control and trimming applications. As a companion to the Harken Big Boat block line, its open Air Block design strips away unnecessary material to reduce weight while maintaining very high working loads. Glass-filled nylon-resin sideplates are densely packed with long-glass fibers for an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio, and the sheave spins on high-load ball bearings in fitted races for low-friction operation under heavy trim. A swivel head keeps line from twisting and lets the block orient to the load. Ball bearings, sheave, and sideplates are UV-stabilized with carbon black for maximum protection. Use it for main and jib sheets, mainsheet fine-tune, control lines, vangs, Cunningham's, and outhauls. Sheave 57mm (2-1/4 in), 10mm maximum line, 792 lb working load and 2380 lb breaking load.
