The Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems CWP8CR is a commercial-grade weatherproof device cover engineered to protect duplex receptacles in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Available in a host of configurations — including Twist-Lock® and straight blade receptacles in single or duplex as well as switches — these covers are perfect for marine use and wherever moisture protection is required.

The molded PVC construction resists deterioration over time and delivers high tensile and impact strength. The material will not support combustion, providing an added measure of safety in critical installations. Each cover includes a tightly sealing rubberized gasket and a super-strong lift cover spring to ensure consistent, reliable weatherproofing every time the cover is closed.

The spring-door design with a single lid and integrated gasket achieves an IP55 enclosure rating, confirming effective resistance to dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The cover mounts vertically to FS/FD surface-mount device boxes using standard mounting screws, and no knockouts are required.

The CWP8CR carries UL 514D listing and CSA certification and is compliant with the Buy American Act and ARRA requirements. Its smooth-finish, rectangular, gray thermoplastic body measures 9.25 in. long × 5.12 in. wide × 1.34 in. high and weighs approximately 0.4 lb per unit. Units are shipped in cartons of 10.
