Advanced Collision Avoidance with Real-time Vessel Traffic Information
Icom’s MXA-5000 takes real time information from the AIS system and displays it on a computer, radar or a chartplotter for easy navigation and collision avoidance at a glance. The MXA-5000 receives both Class A and Class B signals simultaneously. Its full duplex receiver allows for easy and efficient handling of the information without missing critical data. Built-in antenna splitter means there is no need for multiple antennas onboard, or to buy expensive aftermarket splitters. The MXA-5000 splits the input signal for Receive and protects itself when your VHF radio transmits. MXA-5000 outputs AIS data using the NMEA 0183 format for easy connectivity to most radars, chartplotters, and navigation systems.
