The Sleipner Side-Power SM30601 is the complete factory-sealed gear leg (lower unit) assembly for SE30, SE40, SP30, and SP40 tunnel thrusters. Pre-filled with gear oil and sealed by a long-life mechanical seal with ceramic and carbon contact surfaces, this unit requires no periodic oil changes and provides maximum protection against water intrusion even under continuous submersion. Included in the kit: the sealed gearhousing, a sacrificial zinc anode, and Sleipner's five-blade Q-Prop curved-blade propeller. The Q-Prop's skewed-blade geometry reduces operating noise by 20–40% versus the previous generation while maintaining exceptional thrust efficiency in 125mm tunnel installations. This assembly replaces the superseded SM30600 unit and is the correct factory-authorized service part. Distributed in North America by Imtra Corporation.
