The LECTROTAB Standard Trim Tab Actuator is a precision-engineered electromechanical solution that combines whisper-quiet operation with a completely non-hydraulic, maintenance-free design. Engineered by Linear Devices Corporation, this actuator delivers accurate tab positioning, maximum lift force, and a self-contained assembly that simplifies installation significantly compared to traditional hydraulic trim tab systems.

The actuator is housed in a non-metallic, permanently sealed enclosure that is corrosion-free, UV resistant, and fully water resistant. Because all components are located outside the hull, nothing needs to be installed inside the boat, and there is no hydraulic oil that can leak or require servicing. An internal pressure equalization system maintains consistent performance across varying conditions, while an internal brake system prevents unwanted tab movement when the vessel is underway or backing down.

The upper ram seal is positioned to protect against damage from fouled rams or barnacle growth, extending the service life of the unit. The A-BK-42 operates on 12VDC with an 8-second recommended stroke time and a stroke length of 2.25 inches (57 mm). It comes with a generous 42-foot (12.8 m) cable and standard upper and lower transom mounting brackets. The actuator is compatible with all trim tab styles and is designed to upgrade most popular hydraulic and electromechanical systems already in the field.
