The Lewmar EVO 45 Self-Tailing electric winch complete kit transforms sail handling, making it simpler and more efficient than ever. With one-button power and quiet motorization, this 12V E Series kit provides improved sail control whether you are sheeting in or easing out. The self-tailing drum enables a single crew member to manage lines efficiently, eliminating the need for multiple crew to maintain tension and tail the sheet on a conventional winch. Greater control over rope tension allows fine-tuning of sails across all wind conditions.
The E Series controller features a thermal trip that cuts power if the motor overheats, then automatically resets once temperature returns to a safe level. The series wound motor recovers the sheet rapidly at low load when the sheet is slack and slows automatically as load increases, providing smooth, progressive power delivery. The relay is pre-mounted on the gearmotor, simplifying installation — simply connect the battery and the supplied switch.
