The MPG132 FoldAway-J™ is purpose-built to safely transport a single recreational or touring kayak on its side. The quick-release fold-down frames reduce overall vehicle height for garage entry and improve gas mileage when the carrier is not in use, making it an excellent option for frequent paddlers.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant coated steel, the FoldAway-J™ is built to withstand years of exposure to the elements. Oversized padding and heavy-duty molded components provide secure hull protection during transport, while the unique mounting design ensures both strength and stability.
The universal mounting system accommodates a wide range of aftermarket load bars, including round, square, and oval designs, as well as most factory-installed rack systems. Dual mount locations keep the carriers firmly locked in place, preventing side-to-side movement while driving. For added versatility, two lengths of mounting bolts are included, ensuring a perfect fit for various rack styles. Each set also comes with cam-style load straps and bow and stern safety tie-downs for a complete, ready-to-use package.
