The MPG461GS MicroSport™ 2 Kayak Trailer Package from Malone Auto Racks is an all-in-one solution for transporting two recreational or sea kayaks, eliminating the time-consuming task of loading and unloading onto a car roof. The package is built around the MicroSport™ Base Trailer, a medium-duty trailer constructed from 11-gauge pre-galvanized marine-grade steel and designed and manufactured in the USA. Its reinforced-steel tongue accommodates boats up to 20 feet long, while 12-inch galvanized wheels with marine-grade sealed bearings and preassembled hubs ensure a clean, simple setup.

At the heart of the carrying system are two sets of MPG207 MegaWing™ V-style kayak carriers, which hold kayaks in a bottom-down orientation. This design reduces wind resistance during transport and improves gas mileage compared to carrying kayaks on their sides. The package also includes the MPG465 galvanized spare tire with a secure lockable attachment, giving peace of mind on longer journeys. The 78-inch square steel load bars feature D-ring tie-downs for additional securing options and are compatible with Malone, Thule, and select Yakima kayak and canoe accessories.

The complete trailer measures 159 inches in length by 78 inches in width and has a total load capacity of 800 lbs. It connects exclusively to Class II 2-inch receiver hitches and weighs 240 lbs fully assembled. Assembly takes approximately three hours.
