Slayer Propel 13 Pedal Drive Sit-on-Top Angler Kayak
A game-changer in hands-free kayak fishing!
Buzzing spinnerbait around structure for largemouth. Sight-casting for tarpon in the flats and floating a rocky stream for trout and trolling for salmon. The Slayer Propel 13 gets you there. Although stable enough so you can stand up to paddle or cast, and as comfortable as your favorite beach chair with its First Class Seat, what sets this kayak apart is Native Watercraft's unique Propel Pedal Drive System. Plus, in a matter of seconds, you can lift the drive assembly out of the water, stow it out of the way, and use your Slayer Propel with a paddle or pole when the water gets shallow. With lots of storage, a clutter-free cockpit, and a bow-to-stern rail mount system that lets you easily customize your craft, that trophy catch won't be the only excellent story your fishing buddies will be telling at the end of the day. Made in the USA.
Propel Pedal Drive System
The Slayer Propel 13 offers a direct drive pedal system that features the ability to move forward AND REVERSE, totally hands-free! This shaft-driven pedal drive is designed for a minimum depth of 12"-18", depending on your load. It allows you to maneuver into all those spots that were previously only accessible by wading or constantly switching between paddle and rod. Maintain your casting distance. Back away from the structure. Stop on a dime when trolling to relieve rod pressure. The Propel Pedal Drive System makes it easy. With its 10:1 gear ratio, you can cover 4.2 miles per hour all day with relaxed pedaling, and can push to 5.2 miles per hour when trying to outrun threatening weather or hurrying to get back to the tournament weigh-in. Made of rugged, marine-grade anodized aluminum. Easy to maintain.
Hull Design
Rock-solid stability is achieved with a 33" wide, 400-pound capacity modified tunnel hull that lets you stand and cast without testing the waterproofness of your gear. The sharp bow entry and a rudder protective keel give you excellent tracking. The low profile performs great in the wind, especially when under power.
Hand-sewn First Class Seat
Designed to accommodate even the largest anglers, this model offers the adjustability and comfort they need to pedal all day or relax and sip their favorite beverage while floating around a secluded fishing hole. The signature combination of Native Watercraft's solar screen HiFlow™ 3D mesh, suspended over an aluminum frame, cushions and supports the back and bottom while drying quickly and keeping you cool. Straps easily adjust and recline the back frame. Set on rails, this seat can slide forward or backwar,d allowing you to find your perfect pedaling position. In addition to offering a better angle for pedaling, the elevated seat gives a better view for sight casting and makes getting to a standing position easier.
Slayer Groove Tracks
The Groove is Native Watercraft's exclusive accessory attachment system. Want to go out with extra work surfaces, rod holders, or depth finders? Components slide on and off at your pleasure. You can lock them down anywhere along the rail system, loosen and move them easily. The Groove works with accessories and mounts (sold separately) from major brands like Scotty, Ram Mounts, and Railblaza. You'll also find purposely-positioned rails for mounting point-of-view (POV) cameras to capture the ones that didn't get away.
Impact-Resistant Stern Rudder
The built-in left-hand Rudder Control System adds direction to your forward or backward momentum. Circle that stump. Avoid contact with that shoal. Follow that school of bait fish.
Super Seal Scupper Plugs
Multi-ribbed scupper plugs create a high-pressure seal, preventing water from entering through the scupper holes. If you need to drain the hull, the easy-pull handles let you quickly remove the plugs or return them to the scupper holes. They are low profile to prevent line snags, but can be modified to use a tether.
