Whipping twine with a high wax content, excellent strength and ease of use.
The #2 through #8 waxed whipping twines from Robline are laid polyester twine, rather than braided. The #10 and #15 twines are more heavily waxed and braided and will not unravel because of the flat, strong seam.
Practical Sailor Magazine recommends the #10 braided twine as their Best Choice, for excellent strength and ease of sewing, and the #15 braided twine as their Budget Buy for heavy jobs.
- #8 twine covers most applications
- Use #2 for smaller line, and #10 or #15 in heavy-duty applications
- Waxed polyester twine is a good choice for use with nylon or polyester material
