Use Bronze Reducing Hex Head Bushings to securely connect one NPT size fitting to a smaller NPT size fitting.
Bronze fittings have an outer surface that is rough in feel and appearance, almost like it’s covered with sand. That’s because bronze fittings are sand cast, and then machined. These machined bronze bushings feature male NPT threads on one end and female NPT threads on the other. A hexagonal head allows for tighting with a wrench.
Threads are tapered "NPT", which stands for "National Pipe Thread."
