SEAVIEW Model #68 - Electrically Actuated Hinge Base
Due to popular demand, the custom Model #68 has become a stock item under part number SVEHB1. The SEAVIEW Electrically Actuated Hinge Base is professionally designed to raise and lower marine electronics with the push of a button, eliminating the need to manually fold heavy or cumbersome equipment. This single electrically actuated hinge will accommodate single small Seaview mounts all the way up to large dual mounts fully loaded with marine electronics.
The SVEHB1 fits all Seaview mounts with 7"x7" and 10"x10" mounting base plates, and is compatible with all Seaview mounts ending in M1 and M2. Some electronics can also be mounted directly to the hinge plates when needed. The hinge measures 5-9/16" tall x 13" wide x 20-1/2" long and hinges approximately 93 degrees, leaving the hinge plate vertical off the mounting surface at about 11-7/16".
Constructed from marine-grade aluminum with expertly fabricated welds, the SVEHB1 features an industry-leading finish process: the aluminum is first chem-treated for corrosion resistance, then an epoxy polyester primer coat is applied, and finally finished with a polyester powder coat for a superior gloss white appearance. Two waterproof cable glands are included inside the hinge for waterproof cable routing, and a removable lid provides convenient access to service the interior if needed.
The standard actuator operates at 24V with a current draw of 10.4 amps on startup and at full load of 2,248 pound-force. A 12V conversion kit is available as an option. This hinge has been deployed across a wide range of luxury vessels including Princess 66, Navetta 48, Sunseeker 52 & 66, Absolute 58, Sabre 45, Jupiter 27, and HCB Yacht 65CC, among others.
SEAVIEW also offers many manual hinge adapter options to fit just about any Seaview mount for applications where an electric actuator is not required.
