A tape repair to a leaking hose may allow you to limp home; using a hose mender will restore function and allow you to stay out as long as you want. Our brass hose mender kits include two hose clamps with a double barbed fitting. Kits are available in common fuel hose sizes. To make the repair, locate the leak, cut out the damaged hose, and reconnect the two ends using the mender and clamps. Keep some tape in your tool box to make other repairs, but take along a West Marine hose mender kit for leaky hoses and stay out on the water longer.
