ISAF Race Signals
Be aware of changes made by the race committee and be ready for the starting sequence.
Race committees communicate with racers using code flags. When a flag is raised on the committee boat, there is usually some rumbling amongst the crew as to what the flag means. Dispel the confusion and the “ I think it means shortened course” from the crew by applying a reference right the cockpit bulkhead. Code flags commonly used by race committees are displayed with their letter reference and meaning so that you and the crew will understand the flag instantly. Apply an ISAF Race Signals decal to the bulkhead and know with confidence the flag you see on the committee boat doesn’t mean shortened course, know that it means you have 4 minutes to the start.
