The WEST MARINE Mini Single Contact Bayonet BA9S-1445 LED Bulb has been designed as a replacement and upgrade for standard halogen, Xenon and incandescent filament bulbs, offering dramatically lower power consumption and heat generation, while having much greater lifetime and shock resistance. For even greater light output and quality as well as higher efficiency (more light per watt) please look to our Premium series bulbs.
This bulb replaces and has similar brightness to 3 watt traditional Mini Bayonet bulbs using the small / short globe. Single contact, 9mm base. 11-14VDC input range. 55 max lumens, radiates in all directions.
Commonly used in interior marine lights, and various automotive and industrial utility and signal/marker lights. Replacement for Hella flexible neck map light bulb, lower brightness and power than OE. Premium version model #18592675 has nearly 5 times greater light output and uses about 3 times the power. Note this bulb is polarity (+/-) sensitive, if it fails to light when inserted into the fixture, the wires going into the fixture will need to be reversed.
Note some boat builders wired fixtures without regard to polarity, which wire was + positive and - negative, due to the fact standard filament bulbs are not polarity sensitive.
