The Whale S300EW is a 3-gallon, 120V AC electric-only marine water heater built for small to mid-size boats that need dependable hot water without the bulk of a larger tank. At just 14 lbs and sized to tuck under seating, in a lazarette, or into other tight spaces where full-size water heaters won't fit, the S300EW is a popular choice for cockpit and deck showers, galley sinks, and washdown stations on boats where every cubic foot of storage counts.

The tank is constructed with a rugged aluminum inner tank and case, protected by a sturdy epoxy-coated exterior finish that stands up to the marine environment. Hold-down brackets are welded directly to the inner tank for a secure, vibration-resistant mount, and the unit is ignition protected for safe installation in gasoline-powered engine spaces. Because this is an electric-only model (no engine coolant heat exchanger), installation is simple: just 120V AC shore or generator power is required to heat water on demand.

Note: Whale recommends installing a magnesium anode (sold separately) to protect the tank from galvanic corrosion and extend service life — especially important in saltwater environments.
