ACR ELECTRONICS GlobalFix V6 EPIRB with Return Link Service and Mobile App
The ACR GlobalFix V6 EPIRB is an Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon designed for recreational and commercial vessels. This Category I model features an automatic float-free hydrostatic release bracket and transmits a 406 MHz digital distress signal through the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite network. Its 72-channel multi-constellation GNSS receiver uses GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS satellites to provide accurate positioning information to search-and-rescue authorities.
When activated, the GlobalFix V6 transmits a distress alert and location information to the satellite rescue network. Return Link Service (RLS) provides visual confirmation through a flashing blue light that the distress alert has been received by the satellite search-and-rescue system. Near Field Communication (NFC) and the free ACR smartphone app provide access to battery status, self-test results, GNSS test records, and activation history.
The beacon also transmits a 121.5 MHz homing signal to help rescuers locate it during the final search phase. High-visibility white and infrared strobes assist nighttime rescue operations. Its waterproof, buoyant construction and minimum 48-hour operating life at -4°F (-20°C) provide reliable emergency signaling in demanding marine conditions.
