Changing an AGC or MDL (glass fuse) fuse with cold hands or in a rolling sea is a challenge. The chance of dropping the fuse holder cap or fuse is high; finding the cap after it’s been dropped is even harder. A new fuse will not function without the conductive cap securing it. If your boat has a fuse panel that offers easy access, front loaded AGC or MDL fuses, pick up a couple of these extra caps and store them with your spare fuses. They will save the day and keep you on the water.
