Lift style mufflers have been around for more than 40 years. They are best suited for exhaust systems that require engine gases to be “lifted” above the waterline to be drained; sailboats, trawlers, and gensets installed in low-lying compartments are some examples that benefit from a lift muffler.
Centek offers the Vernalift mufflers for a wide range of applications. These side-IN, top-OUT mufflers have a small footprint for installations in tight engine rooms and are best suited for gensets, small diesel or gasoline engines that utilize up to a 3" exhaust hose. Each fiberglass muffler is constructed using the best high temperature resins and will stand up to heat and resist corrosion and deterioration due to prolonged exposure to engine fumes and salt or fresh water. A pressure test for leaks is conducted on each muffler prior to paint application to ensure quality. Select the exhaust hose size first then the overall muffler size. Larger mufflers are quieter than smaller ones; pick the largest muffler that will fit within the available space to maximize noise reduction.
