Replacement front mount hydraulic helms for your steering system. Each helm has a 4 7/16" footprint, 3/4" tapered shaft and nut. To verify which helm you have, simply look at the end of your steering shaft for a 1.7, 2.0 or 2.4 stamping. We recommend during installation that you thoroughly inspect hoses and connections for signs of excessive wear.

Installation
Retrofitting these helms into the older 4 1/2"dia. dash cutout requires the use of Back Plate Kit HA5418 (Model 464552). If desired, you can reduce the distance the helm protrudes from the front of the dash to 3 3/4" with the Round Bezel Kit HA5478 (Model 13481015). To adjust the helm's angle to 20° in relation to the mounting surface, use Wedge Kit HA5419 (Model 435190).

Marine Steering Selection Guide
Caution: SeaStar helm pumps with manufacturer numbers that end in "-3" (like the ones we offer here) are fitted with positionable O-ring style hose fitting ports (commonly referred to as ORB). DO NOT attempt to install an NPT pipe fitting into "-3" helm hose fitting ports. Doing so will lead to irreparable damage to the helm. The manufacturer recommends use of SeaStar Solutions O-ring style hose fittings.
