FIBERGLASS COATINGS Kay-Cel Fiberglass Reinforced Polyurethane, 25 lb Density, 1" thick x 48" x 96"
Kay-Cel is a rigid, closed-cell, high-density polyurethane foam core panel engineered for demanding structural marine applications. The panel uses a sandwich construction with 18oz Woven Roving fiberglass reinforcement bonded to both sides, significantly increasing its mechanical properties over bare foam alone. At 25 lb density and 1" thickness, this panel measures 48" x 96" and covers 32 square feet per sheet, sold individually. It is approximately 30% lighter than marine plywood, helping reduce overall vessel weight without sacrificing structural integrity. The closed-cell, cross-linked polymer foam core will not absorb water and will not rot, making it an excellent long-term replacement for wood in wet or marine environments such as transoms, stringers, bulkheads, and other structural components.
