For racing or cruising. The Yacht Rod’s hardened stainless spring (rated for over one million compressions) provides the upward force necessary to support your boom in light air or when lowering the mainsail. For downward force, the block and tackle system provides efficient control of leech tension with 8:1 purchase. Unlike pneumatics or hydraulics, the Yacht Rod spring is designed for high-performance use and will never lose its charge or make a leaky mess all over the deck. Faster than hydraulics; more efficient than conventional tackle. Kit has everything you need to install, with tackle and mast/boom fittings included. White powdercoated, hard-anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum and 316 stainless construction. May be disassembled for maintenance.
