For downward force, the block and tackle system provides efficient control of leech tension with 8:1 purchase. Unlike pneumatics or hydraulics, the Yacht Rod spring is designed for high-performance use and will never lose its charge or make a leaky mess all over the deck. Faster than hydraulics; more efficient than conventional tackle. Kit has everything you need to install, with tackle and mast/boom fittings included. White powdercoated, hard-anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum and 316 stainless construction. May be disassembled for maintenance.
