Harken collaborates with Marine Products Engineering to offer Vang-Master rigid pneumatic kick struts. Vang-Master kick struts use air pressure to provide the force needed to hold the boom up, eliminating the need for metal springs. This design reduces parts and weight while keeping operations smooth and creak-free. The construction uses hardcoat-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, making them lightweight and strong. Tubes and end fittings are screwed together to reduce corrosion. Harken Vang-Masters are easy to mount, arriving pre-assembled to size with lines already installed.
The pivoting mast fittings are stainless steel hardware that mount securely to the mast and pivot smoothly like a hinge to accommodate the Vang-Master system. These fittings are essential components of the Vang-Master boom support system, designed for easy installation and reliable long-term performance.
