The Dinghy Vang Lower Unit is a specialized component designed for small boat and dinghy vang systems. This assembly features 16 mm sheaves with stainless steel ball bearings engineered to handle high loads reliably. The integrated 468 Micro Cam-Matic® cleat enables precise sail trimming with smooth operation, and its pivoting design ensures fair lead for easy cleating under load.
The unit connects securely to a mast bracket using a 1/4" pin and is available as a standalone component or as part of complete vang kits. When cascaded with 4:1 blocks, the system provides a 12:1 mechanical advantage, delivering powerful control for competitive sailing and demanding conditions. This lower unit is compatible with ILCA and other single-design dinghy classes.
