Harken soft-attach Fly blocks are designed to provide strength without mass, giving sailors big power in a low-aerodynamic package. Engineered specifically for high-tech line, these efficient blocks deliver an incredible working load for their small size. The 18mm Fly Soft Attach Block (2161F) is ideal for foiling dinghies, sportboats, vang cascades, and backstay systems on Grand-Prix racers, and suits any application requiring an all-rope soft-attach connection.
This block features an integrated stainless steel inner race and rivet, stainless steel ball bearings, and composite fiber-reinforced sideplates — construction that ensures durability and reliability under demanding sailing conditions. With a maximum working load of 125 kg (275 lb) and a breaking load of 450 kg (992 lb), the block offers outstanding load capacity relative to its featherweight 7.2 g mass. The 18mm sheave diameter accommodates lines up to 5 mm (3/16 in) in diameter.
