The Harken 207HP High-Performance Furling Swivel is engineered for competitive sailors who demand reliability and smooth operation under extreme loads. Operating independently of the headstay, this upper swivel allows the luff to be tensioned separately from the mast rake — a critical advantage in high-performance racing environments. Its precision needle roller thrust bearings deliver consistently smooth rotation even under the very high loads encountered at the top end of sportboat fleets, including well-known one-design classes such as the Melges 24.

The 207HP shares the same dimensional footprint as other Harken 207 series swivels, ensuring a straightforward drop-in upgrade without the need for additional hardware modifications. It is fully compatible with Harken furling drums 208 and 493L. The 8mm (5/16 in) clevis pin and 97.4mm (3 27/32 in) pin-to-pin length make installation predictable and precise.

Maintenance is straightforward: the halyard swivel should be periodically disassembled to clean and lubricate the bearing assembly using Harken winch grease. Set screws should be secured with red Loctite thread compound to prevent loosening under load.
