System B Non-CB Intermediate Battcar
Complete Your Purchase
The Harken 27 mm Non-CB Intermediate Battcar is a sail-attachment car for the Harken Battcar System B (27 mm track), engineered to attach the mainsail to the track between full-length battens. One-piece solid aluminum construction makes it light and strong, and free-rolling ball bearings let the car hoist and reef the main quickly on all points of sail. This is the Non-CB (non-captive-ball) configuration, supplied on a car loader so it can run on older non-CB-style Harken track originally supplied before 2004 - making it the correct replacement or expansion car for legacy System B installations. As part of a complete Battcar setup, it helps the crew raise, reef, and douse the main quickly and smoothly from the cockpit, outperforming in-mast and in-boom furling without the cost or the need to recut the sail. Intermediate cars carry sail load between the batten cars, keeping the luff fair and reducing friction through the full hoist. The car is compatible only with 27 mm Harken B track and matching headboard, batten, and intermediate cars. Batten receptacle is not included. A dependable, field-proven component for cruisers and racers upgrading or maintaining a smooth-rolling mainsail handling system.
