System A Non-CB Battcar With 10 mm Stud
Complete Your Purchase
The Harken 22 mm Non-CB Battcar with 10 mm Stud is a batten car for the Harken Battcar System A (22 mm track), designed to carry a full-length batten and its sail load along the mast. Built from one-piece solid aluminum, it delivers high strength at low weight. This is the Non-CB (non-captive-ball) version, supplied on a car loader to run on older non-CB style Harken track originally supplied before 2004, making it the correct choice for servicing or extending legacy System A rigs. The 10 mm threaded stud accepts a wide range of Harken batten receptacles, so it adapts to many mainsail batten configurations. System A suits monohulls of roughly 37-50 ft (11-15 m) and multihulls of 30-40 ft (9-12 m), with a maximum mainsail area of 600 ft2 (56 m2) on monohulls and 500 ft2 (46 m2) on multihulls. Paired with full-length battens, a Battcar system lets the crew hoist, reef, and drop the main quickly and smoothly on all points of sail, acting like extra crew when sailing shorthanded. Compatible with 22 mm Harken A track and matching cars. Batten receptacle is not included.
