The Lewmar 8-Plait Anchor Rode (HM50H250PA) is a complete, ready-to-use anchoring solution engineered for reliability and compatibility with all Lewmar windlasses. It pairs 50 feet of 5/16" Grade 4 high-test welded chain with 250 feet of 5/8" eight-plait braid rope, connected with a 3/8" shackle for a secure and convenient assembly. The combination of premium materials and thoughtful design ensures long-lasting performance in demanding marine environments.

The eight-plait braid rope construction allows 50% more line to be stored in the anchor locker compared to traditional 3-strand rope. Unlike twisted or 3-strand lines, the eight-plait configuration resists hocketing, snarling, and stiffening over time, meaning the rode feeds smoothly and reliably every time. Hand-stitched whipping on the rope end prevents fraying and extends service life.

The G4 high-test chain is fully welded for superior strength and coated with a hot-dip galvanized finish that provides exceptional corrosion resistance in saltwater environments. A smooth transition between the rope and chain sections ensures snag-free operation through the windlass wildcat, making retrieval and deployment fast and trouble-free.
