CPX Windlasses are built with tried and tested worm-wheel gearbox architecture and quality materials.
The CPX Vertical Windlass features a 316 stainless steel top cap and chain pipe with an alloy base, so it is lighter than the all stainless steel V-Series deck units. With an emphasis on reliability, Lewmar updated the architecture and reduced the number of parts to make this windlass easier to service.
In addition to new styling, Lewmar included an IP56 splash-protected motor and worm drive gearbox for maximum strength. The CPX can be fitted with chain pipes for either starboard or port feed, allowing for paired installations. Choose 12V or 24V versions, shown here with gypsy/drum configurations (gypsy only versions available).
All models include circuit breaker, solenoid, up/down switch, wraparound stripper, manual override for emergency release and cone clutch drive for smooth control. A manual recovery option is available to provide anchor retrieval in case of power failure.
