Lewmar DC1 Rope Clutch Handle Kit
This revolutionary handle kit has been independently tested and awarded for its innovative framework. Throughout rope clutch development, cams traditionally featured teeth that caused line abrasion. Lewmar's DC1 approach introduces a unique solution: rather than jamming the line, the patented domino mechanism flexes it for better grip and significantly less wear.
When selecting a clutch, choose the size with an upper rope range close to the size of the line to be belayed. This ensures maximum deflection as the domino mechanism flexes the line for optimal performance and longevity.

- Controlled release: pull back handle combined with patented clutch and release mechanism provides controlled release even at full holding load
- Solid link from handle to domino cluster for reliable operation

- Variable geometry handle with unique grip pattern prevents rope fray and reduces rope wear
- Use pan head M6 – 1/4" fixings; do not tighten beyond 10 Nm torque
