Ideal for thinner exterior doors, Perko rim lock sets provide the added security of a dead bolt. These locksets are designed to be surface mounted for a quick installation. A chrome-plated exterior escutcheon plate adds an attractive finish to the knob and locking mechanism on the exterior. The interior side of the door features a large surface mounted lockset assembly that contains the latch and dead bolt mechanisms; the added size helps to spread the load over a larger area and increase the holding power for added protection. From the interior the door is operated by a lever and can be locked with twist of a button. On the exterior, the door is operated by a comfortable knob and can be locked with a key. All of the exposed metals have highly polished chrome-plated finish to increases the corrosion. To simplify installation, Perko rim latch sets are adaptable to right-hand and left-hand doors without dis-assembling the lock assembly.
