Propprep is critical in the chemical preparation of the metal surface to be coated. The low percentage of phosphoric acid treats the metal in preparation for the Propspeed Etching Primer.

The Propspeed System:
In addition to the Propprep, the Propspeed System includes three additional components (these are not included when purchasing the Propprep 1l bottle): Proclean, Etching Primer and Clear Coat. The denatured alcohol in Propclean ensures that the metal surface is completely free of contaminants and ready for Propprep. After Propprep, the metal is ready for the Etching Primer, which is known best for its tenacious adhesion and corrosion resistance. The last step is the Clear Coat, which is a non-toxic, silicone topcoat which forms a super slick outer layer that marine growth cannot adhere to, improving speed and reducing fuel costs.
