Quicksilver Intake Air Temperature IAT Sensor
The Quicksilver 805223T Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor is a genuine OEM replacement component engineered for use in MerCruiser and compatible Volvo marine engines. As a thermistor-type sensor, it continuously monitors the temperature of the incoming air stream within the intake manifold or air cleaner assembly and communicates this data to the engine control module (ECM). Accurate air temperature data allows the ECM to optimize fuel injection timing and mixture, ensuring efficient combustion and proper engine performance across varying operating conditions.
This sensor is suited for EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) systems where it may be located directly in the intake manifold, as well as in carbureted setups where it is positioned in the air cleaner. It is compatible with MerCruiser and Volvo 4.3L and 5.0L engine configurations. Parts are sold and priced individually.
