Seaview Hinge Adapter
The Seaview Hinge Adapter is the ideal solution for boaters who need to reduce the height of their radar or satellite dome mount when storing their vessel. By allowing the Seaview Modular Mount to hinge backwards up to 180 degrees, it provides the maximum possible height clearance, making it easier to pass under bridges or fit into covered storage. This model is designed exclusively for Seaview Modular Mounts with a 10" x 10" base plate dimension.
The modular design of this hinge adapter is a key advantage: when you switch to a different radar or satdome, you only need to replace the top plate rather than the entire mount assembly. This saves both time and money while maintaining full compatibility with Seaview's extensive range of modular mount accessories.
Tool-free operation is made possible by captive knobs that stay secured to the hinge whether it is in the open or closed position, eliminating the risk of losing hardware overboard. The adapter ships with a base plate gasket and all necessary fasteners for installation. A 5/16" drill bit and 2" hole saw are required for installation, and Sudbury Elastomeric Marine Sealant is recommended.
Please note this adapter cannot be used with vertical mounts (which have round base plates), nor is it compatible with the PMA-DM2-M2 Dual Mount or the PMA-200 Tapered Radar Mount with Spreader.
