The SIERRA Speedo GPS is a marine speedometer engineered for versatility across vessel types and operating conditions. The 3-inch gauge features a black dial with white graduations and numerals, with metrics displayed in blue, and a white pointer staff. The instrument incorporates a fog-resistant design that complies with SAE J-1810, ensuring reliable performance in challenging marine environments.
The gauge includes full automotive-type lighting that transitions the white dial graduations to red when illuminated, with the pointer lighting white for clear nighttime visibility. The scratch-resistant curved glass lens is mounted in a black, near-flush bezel, providing durability and a professional appearance. An included LCD heading display shows course over ground, supplementing the primary speed indication.
The Speedo GPS operates on 12 VDC with a current draw of 0.15 to 0.20 amperes. It delivers speed accuracy of ±1 MPH and heading accuracy of ±1 degree once the vessel is moving. The gauge can connect to an existing NMEA 0183 GPS device using included connectors, or operators may use a SIERRA GPS antenna sold separately. Optional eyebrow or square bezels are available as add-on accessories.
