The TACTACAM Solar Panel for DEFEND Cam is a purpose-built power accessory designed to keep your DEFEND Cellular Security Camera running continuously with minimal maintenance. By harnessing solar energy and storing it in a high-capacity built-in battery, this panel drastically reduces — or entirely eliminates — the need to manually swap or recharge batteries in the field.

At the heart of the panel is a 5200 mAh lithium battery backup that ensures your camera remains powered through the night and during periods of low sunlight. The camera draws power from the solar panel's battery first, making any AA batteries installed in the camera function purely as a secondary backup source. The solar panel will not attempt to charge AA batteries.

Built from aluminum and tempered glass, the panel is durable and rated for outdoor use. Its compact footprint — 6.3" long by 2" wide by 8.3" tall — makes it unobtrusive when mounted, while the integrated mounting bracket simplifies installation and allows you to aim the panel for maximum solar exposure. Maximum supported voltage is 12 volts.

Setup is simple and straightforward. The included power supply adapter and cable connect the panel directly to the DEFEND Camera. The solar panel is compatible exclusively with the DEFEND Camera and is not designed for use with other Tactacam products.
