The TACTACAM DEFEND Cam brings true wire-free, Wi-Fi-free security monitoring to homes, farms, remote properties, construction sites, boat and RV storage locations, and anywhere an extra set of eyes is needed. Using a 4G LTE cellular connection with automatic carrier selection via a built-in eSIM, the camera finds the best available signal without complicated setup—no SIM card to purchase and no dependency on your phone carrier.

Once installed, the DEFEND Cam sends motion-triggered images and videos directly to your smartphone through the DEFEND mobile and web apps. On-demand photo and video requests can be made at any time, even without a motion event, and Live View streaming lets you check in on your property in real time. With customizable app settings you can fine-tune detection zones, notification preferences, and image quality to match your specific security needs.

Image quality is outstanding: 4K UHD photos and 1080p video with a fast 1/2-second shutter speed eliminate blur, while a powerful low-glow infrared flash extends night vision coverage to 100 feet (30 meters). A compact, weather-resistant body carries an IP66 waterproof certification, ensuring reliable performance through rain, snow, and extreme temperatures year-round.

Power is flexible. The camera runs on 12 AA batteries (not included) or can be upgraded with the separately sold rechargeable lithium battery pack or solar panel for long-term, maintenance-free operation. The truly wireless design means the camera can be relocated as often as needed with no rewiring or special tools.

Internal storage of 8GB handles local archiving, and an optional SD card slot accepts cards up to 32GB. The camera operates exclusively in the United States and requires a DEFEND data plan subscription starting at $5 per month with no activation fees and no long-term contracts.
