Taylor Made Sur-Moor T3C Mooring Buoy
The Taylor Made Sur-Moor T3C Mooring Buoy is engineered to provide reliable, long-lasting flotation for permanent mooring systems. Constructed with a seamless, one-piece polyethylene shell, this hard-skin buoy resists the constant abuse of marine environments—both saltwater and freshwater. The shell incorporates ultraviolet light absorbers to prevent fading and cracking under prolonged sun exposure, and features a sandblasted finish that accepts paint easily, allowing for custom identification markings.
Filled with closed-cell foam, the buoy positively displaces water and maintains buoyancy even under demanding conditions. The innovative tube-through-the-center (T3C) design allows the boat anchor chain to pass directly through the buoy body, so you can attach your vessel securely to the top of the mooring ball. A flanged collar crafted from rigid PVC tubing reinforces the tube opening, and a distinctive blue reflective stripe enhances visibility at night. Hardware is not included.
A permanent mooring system, when properly designed, should securely position a boat so it can be left unattended for extended periods. Each system typically consists of a mooring buoy to float the chain, a mooring anchor, and a length of chain running between the anchor and the buoy, along with properly sized galvanized shackles and swivels. All Taylor Made Sur-Moor buoys are built to withstand the constant abuse of most mooring environments. Taylor Made is a proud member of the Lippert family, a global manufacturer and supplier of engineered products for the marine and other industries.
